ZeeVee’s New Chapter

By the time you’ve received this summer newsletter, you likely have heard the news that ZeeVee has been acquired by Kramer.
For the past 17 years, ZeeVee has led the market in the development of the most advanced signal distribution technologies. From our initial focus on RF to the most comprehensive solutions in AV over IP, we remain the undisputed leader in providing the broadest range of solutions addressing the most critical and difficult applications in every sector we service.
Keeping up with the rapid pace of technology is a challenge each of us face – manufacturers, integrators, consultants and end-users alike. Now, thanks to our merger into the Kramer organization, we will be able to accelerate our development efforts in all areas of signal and video distribution. By combining ZeeVee’s innovative solutions with Kramer's portfolio, we will be able to provide more comprehensive and advanced offerings to our customers.
Enhancements Throughout our Organization
Though it’s early in our business combination, there will be many visible changes – as well as more subtle internal changes – that will enhance our ability to serve you better. Our current facilities in Massachusetts will become a beacon for Kramer’s AV over IP solutions Stay tuned for more details!
Beyond that, you can expect increased global support from our newly expanded footprint. We’re known, among other things, for our pre- and post-sales support – often described by our partners as second to none. Now, as part of a significantly larger entity, we will gain the ability to spend more face-to-face time working with you to define the best solution for your application whether it be RF, H.264, H.265, compressed (1Gb) or uncompressed (10Gb) AV over IP or a combination of these technologies.

ZyPer Management Platform 4.0 is Here!
In keeping with our commitment to constantly evolve our products and technologies to empower our customers with more efficient AVoIP signal distribution workflows, we are proud to announce the latest update to the ZyPer Management Platform (ZMP) 4.0.
This robust update features the industry’s first of its kind visualization, analysis and monitoring tool – or VAM – that provides a comprehensive overview of an entire AV over IP-based system, as well as a host of additional performance and security features.
The innovative VAM tool enables integrators and end-users to visualize, analyze and monitor multicast traffic on an AV network and identify potential issues where bandwidth limits may be exceeded. Here is a breakdown of each of these aspects:
- Visualization: VAM auto-discovers an entire AV network with graphical representation of each aspect of the system. By being able to see all switches and endpoints, it is easier than ever to identify ZyPer endpoints and trunks between switches. It also provides the ability to show all multicast streams between ZyPer encoder and decoder endpoints. This feature also works over LAG trunks.
- Analysis: The tool allows users to analyze what they are working on in real-time with instant access to switch-related data, including IP addresses and current firmware versions. It also indicates the status and allocated bandwidth of individual ports.
- Monitoring: Service providers and system managers can easily observe individual switch ports/links data via multiple live chart options. This includes multicast packet rate (PPS), port bandwidth (Mbps) and network errors (PPS).
In addition, VAM provides critical, real-time graphical indication of trunk oversubscription, including links within a LAG. Another key feature is the automated checking of switch configuration required for AVoIP operation and generation of warnings as necessary. Detailed switch configuration and operational data is available for system-level parameters for snooping, the proxy querier, the multicast forwarding database, VLAN and port-level configuration and statistics.
…And There’s More
Beyond VAM, ZMP 4.0 provides 802.1X security support for ZyPer4K-XS and ZyPer4K-XR AVoIP encoders and decoders. This feature, which allows the network to identify a connected device and decide whether to allow access, has been requested by a growing number of AV and IT professionals.
Additional enhanced performance and security features in this update include:
- Updated zones feature
- Transport layer security updates
- Multicast discovery enabled for ZyPer4K endpoints
- Configuration of Dante IP address (ZyPerUHD60-2EA and 2DA only)
