Countdown to InfoComm 2024

We are rolling into the show with a continued focus on developing our advanced software-based AV over IP solutions—which have proven to be a key differentiator for why integrators and end-users choose our encoders and decoders. To illustrate this, we will be showing how our latest AVoIP gear can be integrated into a wide variety of applications in conjunction with monitors, LED walls, media players and switchers from AV industry leaders.
Booth Preview:
- Art’s Corner: Here Art Weeks, our director of project management, will demonstrate ZyPer4K encoders and decoders feeding content to a LED wall and a 2x2 8K video wall provided by Sharp/NEC. Four computers will be set up to show “mouse roaming” video switching.
- Esports Arena: This area will highlight ZyPer4K’s genlock feature, which eliminates image tearing and shearing when displaying fast-moving objects onscreen, as well as our signature low latency in a visually demanding environment via an aerial-mounted 75-inch Sharp/NEC monitor.
- Software Showcase: The power of ZeeVee’s advanced software approach to AVoIP, by way of its ZyPer Management Platform, will be demonstrated here. Among the features to be demonstrated will be ZeeVee’s custom AVoIP multiview capabilities. Our new ZyPerMX4 quad video encoder will stream and switch simulated TV channel content sourced from BrightSign media players.
- Conference Room: This section of the booth will illustrate the ability of ZeeVee encoders and decoders to serve content to monitors in conference rooms, featuring three AVOCOR touchscreen displays. This will show how the ZyPerUHD60 line models are able to seamlessly convert 10Gb content for display on a 1Gb network. Our line of wall plates will also be on display.
New Product Demonstrations:
Among ZeeVee’s featured products at the show is the updated ZyPer4K-XS SDVoE decoder with Dante and full USB 2.0 functionality. The model offers cost-effective solutions for the distribution and switching of uncompressed 720p, 1080p HD, Ultra HD and 4K resolution content, audio and control via off-the-shelf 10Gb Ethernet switches. A lightweight and durable chassis, as well as quiet fanless thermal management, enables it to be placed virtually anywhere. In addition, the new decoder has built-in support for 10Gb Power over Ethernet (PoE), which enables the delivery of both data and power throughout an IP network over ethernet cables, allowing for a clean and efficient deployment.
Sharing center stage at the ZeeVee booth is the ZyPerUHD60-2EMP, the industry’s first 1Gb network encoder that integrates a comprehensive control and security interface. This ISE 2024 Best of Show winner integrates the company’s popular ZyPer Management Platform (ZMP 3.x) that is capable of operating an AVoIP system with enhanced network, account and GUI application safeguards – all without the need for additional components. Like the other ZMP format offerings, this combo unit will enable the easy building of video walls (up to 15 x 15) and the auto-discovery of all connected appliances so that they are instantly viewable.
ZeeVee to Host AVIXA Training Session:
On Wednesday, June 12 (4:00pm in room W228), Art Weeks will lead an AVIXA training session entitled ‘AV Network Prep, Readiness and Design,’ where attendees will learn the intricacies of an AVoIP-based system. It will start with an introduction to what an IP network switch is and focus on important concepts specific to designing and installing a functional AVoIP network. Attendees will leave the session with a better understanding of switch backplanes, LANs, VLANs, full/half duplex communication, AV directional flow, PoE and PoE budgeting.
Many real-world AV over IP network examples will be reviewed and discussed to highlight the advantages of various system design approaches. The course will wrap up by providing a high-level checklist of things to watch and plan for with any AVoIP network design; the presentation will conclude with a Q & A session.
