Last month, ZeeVee had the honor of winning the SDVoE Members’ Choice Award in the project excellence category for our part in a new AV build for the Quadram Institute, a ground-breaking medical center based in Norwich, England. The project, installed by Snelling Business Systems, is enabling the facility to not only conduct more than 40,000 endoscopies each year with uncompressed 4K near zero latency video, but distribute feeds at this standard to doctors and students in other locations on campus (or, for that matter, anywhere in the world). It is also the first endoscopy site in the UK utilizing SDVoE technology to distribute uncompressed 4K video over a 10GBb Ethernet network.
What’s particularly gratifying about the award is that it was judged by our peers in the SDVoE Alliance, an organization for which we are founding members.
If you’ll allow me, I’d like to mention that this is our twelfth industry recognition over the last three years—an impressive proof point of our leadership in the video distribution arena.
While winning awards is nice, we understand our success and growth will be based on our ability to continue providing high-performance and reliable video solutions for integrators and end-users. Since our founding in 2007, we have not deviated from our commitment to supplying the market with solutions for all video distribution needs—be it AVoIP, RF or video streaming. ZeeVee is the only company in the world offering solutions for digital AV distribution over both RF systems (radio frequency via coax) and IP networks (Internet protocol via category cable or fiber), including products with simultaneous RF and IP output.
Across the board, our products enable integrators to tailor end-user solutions to meet demanding specifications and tight budgets, utilize existing infrastructure where desirable and provide cost-effective roadmaps for customers looking to migrate from RF-based systems to fully IP-based networks. ZeeVee uses only open-standard digital technologies for AV distribution, since they offer universal advantages in terms of cost, quality, longevity, reliability, scalability and upgradability.
Long story short, we don’t win unless our partners and customers win. Our approach has placed us in a good position as we gear up for continued success in 2020. On that note, all of us at ZeeVee wish you and yours a healthy and prosperous new year as well.
Bob Michaels

Showcasing ZeeVee Innovation in Germany:
We recently joined VAV Medientechnik Group, one of the professional conference technology market leaders in the DACH region since 1979, for its Innovation Fair in Munich. At this event, we presented our ZyPer4K technology to more than 200 attendees, which included IT and AV specialists and end-users from varied industries. VAV, which is celebrating its 40th anniversary, is an AV system house that plans, installs and maintains clients’ media technology, as well as trains users and offers reliable service and maintenance contracts after projects are completed.
ZeeVee and NETGEAR Cover the UK!
Our series of education and training sessions, for our partners throughout the region, continues with successful events at NETGEAR’s UK headquarters and Polar Integrated Solutions (pictured here). Our strong relationships with the leading switch manufacturer and the SDVoE Alliance help us to share knowledge on all things AVoIP with consultants, integrators and end-users.
Meet Up at ISE 2020 Next Month!
The big annual European show is upon us and we’re excited at the chance to catch up with you and build new relationships (ZeeVee booth #10-N197). If you haven’t already done so, please contact us to set a meeting and allow us to provide you with demonstrations of our latest ZyPer Management Platform updates, as well as our industry leading AVoIP, RF and streaming video distribution solutions.

ZyPer4K Demonstrations for Higher Ed Institutions in London: Administrators and IT specialists from several leading London universities attended a demonstration of our ZyPer4K video distribution solution in a live environment at the Samsung KX Experience Centre in Kings Cross. The schools got to see, first-hand, the benefits of uncompressed 4K video with near zero latency including high resolution video with real time interactivity.
Integrator Training with New Partner in Switzerland:
ZeeVee is now working with Swiss-based integrator, Kilchenmann, the largest integrator in the DACH region with more than 270 employees and annual sales of CHF 80 million. To kick off the relationship, ZeeVee conducted technical training sessions in the integrator’s Zurich, Bern and Basel/Freiburg offices with more than 40 of its product managers and system engineers. Together with NETGEAR, Kilchenmann and ZeeVee will conduct a road show for integrators and AV consultants throughout the region in March and April.

HB Communications: Getting to Know You
HB Communications, headquartered in North Haven, Connecticut, believes in the power of audiovisual communication. It should; it’s been in the business since 1946. Recently, HB won a major university museum project (mum’s the word until we make the formal announcement) which included many ZeeVee ZyPer 4K endpoints. And like most winning teams, we’ve been training together including a recent session with 15 of its engineers in our HQ in Littleton and another overview session for additional staffers in North Haven. Another reason we love North Haven? It’s just eight miles from the best assortment of authentic New Haven pizza.

Spotlight: ZyPer4K Decoder with Dante
In mid-September, we announced our support for Dante, the pro audio industry’s leading technology for IP-based transport and distribution of uncompressed streaming audio.
Adding a Dante transmitter to the ZeeVee ZyPer4K AV decoder enables users to route any audio source within a ZyPer4K deployment to a Dante network — making it a very attractive option for those seeking the best solutions in professional-grade AV networking.
Dante, a powerful audio distribution solution that manufacturers have integrated into more than 1,600 devices, supports features such as “human” readable names for all connected devices, automatic device discovery, one-click routing and low deterministic latency. In addition, it provides stable performance and enables automatic reconnection of system components after power cycles.
The integration of Dante in our flagship SDVoE 4K decoder underscores our dedication to the principle of product interoperability that’s central to our market approach. The Dante transmitter found in the ZyPer4K decoder is managed by the Dante Controller application, which provides a virtual patch panel for the convenient connecting of devices, clocking, sampling control and the ability to manually choose between unicast and multicast signal distribution.
