Software Team Member

Member of team developing consumer-oriented, Internet-centric, gui-intensive application development. The ideal candidate will have strong web development skills, experience with modern scripting languages, and an understanding of OS specific development (primarily Windows and OS X). The likely development environment will use web based tools including Flash/Flex/AIR, Javascript, DHTML, and CSS. Expertise in one or more languages like ruby, python, perl, or C# is strongly preferred. Java and C++ skills are a plus but not required. Experience with developing on Windows or OSX is a plus but not required. We would love to see an example of the candidate's work. 5-7 years of experience is preferred but we are open to enthusiastic junior candidates.

Quality Assurance Engineer

Quality Assurance at ZeeVee means more than verifying adherence to specifications. Quality Assurance at ZeeVee is more than just delighting our customers. Quality Assurance at ZeeVee is about building the best product possible given all of the other realities of the market and the business. This means making sure that QA doesn’t distract development with meaningless or incomplete bug reports. It also means QA must be experts on every facet of the product and how they interact with each other and the customer in every possible environment.

Specifics

  • Automate the testing of all functions using off-the-shelf, specialized and custom hardware and software.
  • Perform manual testing of the user experience.
  • Build automation in TCL, perl, and C++ running on Linux and Windows XP/Vista as required by the task.
  • Augment existing tools and shareware written in C++.
  • Design and implement test cases based on product requirements, functional specifications and common sense.
  • Thoroughly investigate all problems found (both internally and externally) and log detailed bug reports.
  • Work with development to reproduce and debug issues.
  • Work with the manufacturing team to design and build a quality control system.

Experience required -- 3 to 5 years as a quality assurance professional, specifically

  • Developing QA plans from specifications, bug history and personal product usage
  • Developing test automation for Windows browser-style products that are built using cutting edge technologies
  • Developing automation for embedded system and/or servers using object oriented TCL
  • Coordinating hands-on testing by internal and external testers

Web Marketing Manager

Web Marketing Manager is a full time position responsible for identifying, writing, implementing, and measuring web initiatives targeted at growing ZeeVee brand awareness and online sales. Reports to VP of Marketing. The ideal candidate has marketed a consumer product via the web, including online purchasing and has: 1) 5+ years experience in interactive e-commerce including website marketing responsibility, search engine marketing, creating web communities/forums, metrics, etc.; 2) Experience in viral marketing – YouTube, online social networks, Digg, Engadget, Gizmodo, Delicious, FaceBook, MySpace, etc.; 3) Strong writing skills – proven ability to keep content fresh, write a weekly blog, FAQs, adding to forums in various web communities, etc.; 4) Strong analytical skills to track and manage web storefront as a channel.
